MTN said it remains dedicated to collaborating with the government and strategic partners to support nation-building, drive economic growth, and ensure that more South Africans can benefit from the opportunities enabled by digital connectivity.
MTN South Africa has reaffirmed its commitment to driving development in the North West province through continued investment in network infrastructure and digital inclusion initiatives following a high-level engagement with provincial leaders.
The company’s Executive Committee, headed by Deputy CEO Yolanda Cuba, held talks with North West Premier Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi and members of the Provincial Executive as part of MTN’s stakeholder engagement programme. The initiative is designed to strengthen partnerships and align the company’s efforts with the province’s key development priorities.
Under its 2026 investment programme, MTN South Africa will commit more than R150 million to expand and modernise network infrastructure across the North West province. The investment will improve connectivity at over 1,000 network towers while extending 4G and 5G services to more communities.
In addition to strengthening its network, MTN South Africa is promoting digital inclusion through the MTN South Africa Foundation. The foundation continues to support education, digital skills training and youth empowerment by investing in initiatives including 37 multimedia centres, the Bojanala Teacher Centre and the recently launched Digital Skills Hub in Marikana.
