SeamlessHR, one of Africa’s leading HR technology companies, has announced its transition to Seamless Technologies, marking a strategic shift driven by its expansion into artificial intelligence and financial services as it seeks to build a broader technology platform for businesses and workers across the continent.
Having established a strong position in HR technology, Seamless Technologies is broadening its capabilities beyond workforce management to address one of Africa’s major challenges—access to financial services. Through partnerships, the company is enabling businesses and employees to access financial solutions directly within their work environments, creating new opportunities for financial inclusion, operational efficiency, and business growth.
Under its new corporate structure, Seamless Technologies will operate through three key business verticals. These include SeamlessHR, its flagship workforce management platform; Breeze, an embedded financial services platform that provides businesses and employees with employee self-service tools, payroll financing, earned wage access, and lifestyle services; and SeamlessProcure, a procurement solution designed to simplify enterprise purchasing and vendor management processes.
As part of the transition, the company is also expanding its workforce technology portfolio with the introduction of BWOP (Blue Collar Operations Platform), a solution tailored for organisations managing frontline and shift-based employees. Combined with SeamlessHR’s existing platform for office-based teams, BWOP enables organisations to digitise attendance management, payroll, workforce records, communication, and employee self-service across diverse work environments.
Supporting these solutions is Samira, the company’s artificial intelligence layer, which is designed to help organisations and employees automate tasks, gain insights, and interact more intelligently with technology across the Seamless ecosystem.
Commenting on the transition, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Dr. Emmanuel Okeleji, said the move reflects opportunities that extend beyond HR technology.
According to him, the company’s assessment of challenges facing businesses and workers across Africa revealed that access to finance remains central to economic participation and productivity. He noted that the company’s expansion into financial services is a natural extension of its mission and positions Seamless Technologies to address these challenges on a much larger scale.
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, Deji Lana, said the future belongs to platforms that seamlessly connect people, work, and financial services. He added that through financial solutions, artificial intelligence, and its expanding product suite, the company is building infrastructure that enables businesses to operate more efficiently while providing workers with greater opportunities.
Chairman of the Advisory Board, Irfan Keshavjee, described the transition as a reflection of the company’s growth and ambition. He noted that after building a leading position in HR technology, the company is now entering a significantly larger addressable market with the capacity to create long-term value across multiple sectors.
According to the company, the transition to Seamless Technologies provides a unified corporate identity that supports product expansion and international market entry while allowing individual product brands to retain their distinct positioning and operational focus.
The move underscores the company’s long-term commitment to building technology infrastructure that enhances productivity, improves access, and drives prosperity for working Africans.
