The event signaled the start of a new phase for the community, as it introduced its newly appointed Board and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration between the French and Nigerian innovation ecosystems.
Officials from the French diplomatic mission, including the Consul General of France in Lagos and representatives of the Regional Economic and Trade Department, were present at the event, underscoring France’s sustained support for innovation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
A panel session titled “Building Stronger Bridges Between the Nigerian Market and the French Innovation Ecosystem” featured key industry players from Oneconnect Infrastructure, Wakanow Nigeria, Baobab Microfinance Bank, Digital Virgo, and Team France Export. The discussion, moderated by Community Lead Ogatcha Prudence, focused on expanding business, technology, and investment linkages between the two countries.
Speakers highlighted Nigeria’s vibrant entrepreneurial landscape, stressing the importance of local partnerships and the growing potential for deeper collaboration between France and Nigeria.
Looking ahead, French Tech Lagos stated that it will continue to connect entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, and public institutions through networking events, strategic alliances, and broader ecosystem engagement. These efforts aim to further strengthen innovation ties between both countries.
