A Lagos-based technology company has commenced a strategic investment drive to support its expansion across Nigeria and other emerging African markets.
The founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Odenore, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.
Odenore said the company was positioning itself at the centre of Africa’s rapidly evolving digital compliance ecosystem, as increasing regulatory enforcement of structured e-invoicing and tax-aligned reporting continues to drive demand for dependable compliance infrastructure.
He noted that real-time validation requirements were also increasing demand among small businesses and large enterprises seeking seamless regulatory compliance.
According to Odenore, Afri Invoice’s platform provides automated invoice validation, structured data exchange and regulatory reporting for businesses.
He said the platform enables companies to meet compliance requirements without disrupting their normal business operations.
Odenore explained that the company’s infrastructure was designed to support Africa’s transition towards digital-first compliance systems, which are becoming increasingly important across different sectors as governments strengthen digital tax administration.
“Africa’s compliance infrastructure is undergoing a fundamental shift, and Afri Invoice is leading that transformation.
“This is not a future opportunity; it is happening now, and every business will require structured e-invoicing and automated compliance,” he said.
He said the company was building infrastructure capable of supporting businesses as digital compliance requirements expanded across African markets.
“We are building the backbone of Africa’s digital compliance economy,” Odenore said.
He added that investors with expertise in regulation, infrastructure and technology scaling would recognise the size and urgency of the opportunity.
“Investors who understand regulation, infrastructure and scale recognise the size and urgency of this opportunity,” he said.
Odenore said the strategic investment round would target investors with experience supporting leading Nigerian fintech infrastructure companies.
He specifically mentioned Monnify, Flutterwave and Interswitch as examples of companies whose investors understand Africa’s fintech infrastructure landscape.
The Chief Executive Officer said such investors possessed valuable knowledge of regulatory demands and infrastructure requirements within the digital economy.
He added that their experience would also support Afri Invoice’s ambitions to scale its operations across the continent.
Odenore said funds raised would be channelled into engineering expansion, infrastructure scaling and regulatory integrations.
He added that the investment would also facilitate the onboarding of thousands of small and large businesses across Nigeria.
According to him, part of the expansion would target emerging African markets where digital compliance infrastructure is gaining importance.
“Afri Invoice is not chasing the market; the market is accelerating towards us,” Odenore said.
He added that the company’s expansion strategy was designed to position it as a key infrastructure provider within Africa’s digital compliance economy.
