RISE 2026 to Convene Over 2,000 Tech Leaders, Policymakers, and Innovators in Jos
The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) is set to host more than 2,000 technology professionals, policymakers, academics, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders in Jos, Plateau State, for RISE 2026, one of Nigeria’s most significant technology conferences of the year.
Scheduled to take place from July 27 to July 30, the 20th International Conference on Technology and Computing will be held under the theme: “Harnessing Digital Innovation and Emerging Technologies for Inclusive Growth and Economic Renaissance.”
Rather than focusing solely on venture capital or consumer technology, RISE 2026 will spotlight critical issues shaping Nigeria’s digital future. Discussions will center on closing the digital divide, advancing artificial intelligence adoption, strengthening policy frameworks, and building local technology talent.
The conference will also explore a wide range of sub-themes, including fintech, data privacy, robotics, cloud computing infrastructure, and other emerging technologies driving digital transformation.
Hosting the conference in Jos reflects a deliberate effort to expand Nigeria’s technology conversations beyond the traditional innovation hubs of Lagos and Abuja. The hybrid event will bring together key stakeholders from across the public and private sectors, including representatives of the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, researchers, and founders of local startups.
Beyond creating networking opportunities, RISE 2026 aims to foster meaningful dialogue that translates policy discussions into practical actions capable of driving inclusive digital growth and measurable economic development across Nigeria.
